1.Telephone:

1) Foreign Guest House: Each room is equipped with a phone. IP card is available to make international calls. You can also make the collect call. Domestic and international call service is available in the reception.
2) Xue Si Yuan: Each room has a phone. Local call is free. You can also use IP card to make domestic and international call. The call service is also available in the reception.

2. Internet and Fax

1) International Students Center offers free internet access from 13:00 to 21:00 on weekdays.
2) Internet Center in Library is open to the public from 8:30 to 2130 from Monday to Sunday.
3) Campus wireless Internet covers all the teaching buildings. The students may have the access after registering their campus mailboxes. (smail.shnu.edu.cn)
4) Fax: the Business Center of Xue Si Yuan and Foreign Guest House.

3.Food
1) Cafeteria: There are three students Cafeterias on campus, Xiangzhang Yuan, Dangui Yuan and Shengle. The Student ID is required.
2) Foreign Guest House: the restaurant is on the first floor.
3) Xue Si Yuan: the restaurant is on the second floor. And there is a public kitchen on the second floor
4.Student ID
Upon completion of registration, you will receive your student ID card. It is a multi-functional card that can be used as food card, library card and wireless Internet access. Keep your Student ID with you all the time in case you are required to show it. If the card is lost, report to your College immediately and follow the procedures to get a new one.
5. Medical Care
There is a school clinic on the main campus. Student ID is needed for treatment. For off campus medical care, it is recommended that you go to the International Health Center of Shanghai No. 1 People’s Hospital (585 Jiu Long Road; 6324-0090 ext. 2101). If you have oversea medical insurance, please bring it along. The Center is equipped with advanced medical facilities and doctors there can speak foreign languages.
6. Postal Service
1) Letters and Parcels: Stamps are available in Post Office, and postage varies according to how much your mail weighs. It is highly recommended that you have your mail weighed at the post office to make sure the exact amount of postage you have to pay. The following table lists the postage:
